It is late August and aside from working 60 hours a week at the architecture office I am currently employed at, as well as chasing around my 2 year old in my spare time, I have begun preparations for the Fall 2008 hunting seasons. The drought of last year has given way to a predominantly lush growing season for 2008 and it is my hope that the fall leaf change will be as vibrant as ever. I will surely post any photographic successes here for your viewing pleasure...stay tuned.

Life is good. After a sad and tumultuous end to my college career, my wife and I are living in Nashville, Tennessee. She starts back to nursing school in August, and I have been working as an architectural intern for a firm here in Nashville. I love my job, good experience and good pay, and am quite content with my responsibilities and level of involvement. We close on our first home, a townhouse, on August 2, and probably on the 3rd or 4th I am going to buy another car, probably a Camry or Accord. It is time to make an attempt at normalcy. We will never forget those we lost, those that we almost lost, and the permanent changes made to our campus and our community by the tragic events of 4-16-2007. But we must try to continue our lives as best we can and hopefully do something great with them, its the best memorial we can offer those whose lives were cut short. I want to thank all those whose support and compassion poured out during the last week, and I want to offer a prayer to those whose hearts were too cold and hard to do so. We will prevail.
